VERBUND is Austria’s leading energy company and one of the largest renewable electricity producers in Europe. Their hydrogen activities build on long-standing know how in planning and operating large scale energy infrastructures, and therefore extend the value chain from green electricity to green hydrogen.
VERBUND is focused on three strategic directions:
Strengthening the integrated domestic market,
expanding renewables in Europe, and
positioning themselves as a European hydrogen player.
LAT Nitrogen is a leading European provider of nitrogen-based products in the fertilizer and industrial chemical market. The company employs nearly 2,000 employees across Europe and has production units located in Austria, France and Germany. An extensive warehouse and commercial network spans across Western, Central and Eastern Europe.
As an energy intensive industry, they are working actively to reduce the carbon footprint of their product. They do this by continuously optimizing both energy usage as well as reducing emissions.
Being open to use all available technologies to eliminate the greenhouse gas emissions from our plants, LAT Nitrogen is committed to significantly reduce emissions until 2030 and achieve climate neutral production by 2050 latest.
